18 Sep Styled Bridal Shoot {Forever Home Farm}
Bridal portraits, galore. That’s how we would sum up this crazy, beyond beautiful styled shoot at Forever Home Farm, an up-and-coming venue located just 30 minutes outside of Asheville. And you know what we love most about it? That the event planner, Miss Belle Crouse of Wedding Belle’s NC, chose to incorporate three different couples and three different looks. Not everyone (or every bride) fits one mold, this we know for sure, so how refreshing was it to spy not one, not two, but three varying versions of couples and portraits. Wowza. That is the way to do it. This shoot is brimming with inspiration, really and truly, and going to make your jaw drop to the floor because it is just that astonishing. The photography, the florals, the beauty, just spot on and we are over-the-moon excited to share it with you all. Now, enough from us . . . let’s hear some from Belle, the leading lady behind this design.
Asheville Wedding Guide: Your couples are all gorgeous. Are they real-life lovelies or are they faux? We can’t tell the difference.
Belle: I posted a model call, in hopes of getting lots of diversity and was thrilled by the response we received. One of the couples is a real-life duo while the other two were “faux” couples. However, the chemistry between them all was spot on perfect. Fun fact: The gorgeous model, Makenzy, in the ball gown style wedding dress actually met her “husband for the day” an hour before the shoot. One of the male models was unable to make it, so Seaver, who is actually the grandson of the owner of Forever Home Farm, stepped up to fill in. He and Makenzy had such amazing chemistry and were such great sports about everything, and they just seemed like they had known one another forever.
AWG: Everything seems to work out how it is supposed to, we guess. We are dying to hear about this nifty macramé backdrop.
Belle: This was one of my very favorite pieces of the day. Boho is the new trend with weddings this season. Yes, it is macramé, and it was supplied by Vintage Indigo Rentals, along with all the other arbors, furniture, decor, dishes, etc. that was photographed by Briana Autran. The women that run Vintage Indigo Rentals were absolutely amazing, even when a rainstorm came out of nowhere. Jesse is a styling master and she brought my vision to life perfectly.
AWG: Nice! Let us in on these varying color palettes. Each is so very unique.
Belle: One of the first things I came up with for this shoot was the color palette and I modeled everything around that. I knew I wanted wild flowers for Brooke’s bouquet to fit her boho style and I wanted to pull the colors from those flowers in to the dress, makeup, and jewelry (Stephanie Ellis designed and created all of those drool-worthy rings). I wanted a white and light pink color palette for Makenzy, which ended up going so perfectly with her blush-toned dress and her gorgeous skin. I wanted a burgundy and greenery inspired palette for Izzy, which we ended up matching with her red lipstick. They all rocked their individual styles so very well. I sent a general idea of what I wanted to Kristi at Stargazer’s Designs and she created the ideal flower arrangements. I was so impressed with what she came up with the day of. It was so unique and incredibly designed!
AWG: Now we haven’t heard much about Forever Home Farm. Do tell.
Belle: We are a newer wedding venue ,30 minutes outside of Asheville, as well as an animal rescue farm. Debi, the owner, has such a heart for animals and people and was inspired to turn her incredible 200 year old estate into a wedding venue after her daughter, Cadence, got married on the property. We have so much to offer couples, including a 200 year old original house and a pole barn that is currently under construction and will be able to seat 200 people. We have 2 houses on the property and can sleep 22 people on the property overnight, which takes the stress off of having to leave to go to a hotel the night of and also offers lodging for the family all on site! We have mountain views all over the property, as well as a fun in-ground pool and more.
AWG: Alright. We’re sold. Here we come to visit!
