23 Apr Lauren & Mike {The Omni Grove Park Inn}
Lauren and Mike’s wedding hashtag (#wedthyneighbor) may give you some indication as to how they met, but if that isn’t enough of a hint then we will go ahead and spill the beans. The twosome, who hail from Coral Springs, Florida, grew up together and lived across the street during their youth. The pair didn’t start dating until they moved back home with their parents many years later (when “cooties” were no longer a thing) and moved in together a short while later. “Humor is a big part of our relationship—binge watching “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation” and we made each other laugh in a way that just felt right,” says Lauren. When the time came for them to plan their July wedding (four years of dating later), the duo traded in the Florida sunshine for a view of the North Carolina mountains (Lauren’s parents own a cabin in nearby Waynesville so she’s been frequenting the area for awhile). With the help of Tara Jordan from Weddings with Tara, The Omni Grove Park Inn transformed from a swanky resort into, in the bride’s words, “a romantic, earthy garden,” brimming with greenery and complementing the scenic mountain vistas just beyond. A color palette ruled by blush, cream, and gold dressed the day and as you can tell from the following Cheyenne Schultz images, happiness and pure joy were evident at every turn. Cheers to these sweet newlyweds, whose Big Day was just as beautiful as they are.
