03 Jul Heather & Steve {Rumbling Bald Resort}
Heather and Steve are just about the cutest couple we have ever laid eyes on. Not only are they both crazy attractive but their backstory is just as so. For starters, their first date was over piping hot tea (how cozy!) and what Heather claims made her instantly fall for Wales-born Steve was partly his smile, of course, but mostly his endearing pronunciation of the “banana bread.” And if that wasn’t enough to instantly win you over then the fact that they doodled their dream house on a napkin on their 6-week anniversary and bought the property just a few weeks later is sure to do the trick. Those details regarding their relationship couldn’t be any more charming if we’d made them up and neither could their gorgeous—beyond gorgeous—September soirée at Rumbling Bald Resort. The duo knew from the get-go that yes, they wanted the traditional wedding, but they also wanted their Big Day to be a giant, happy, fun-filled celebration for all those guests coming from near and far. And with the help of the gals at Firefly Event Company, boy, did they succeed. After Heather was walked to the aisle by her father, and down the aisle by both father and stepfather, the couple participated in a ring warming ceremony, where they are passed around between immediate family sitting in the front rows before being exchanged. And, after swapping their “I do’s” and sealing it with a smooch under a floral-embellished gazebo, the newlyweds and bridal party recessed to the lyrics of “Here Comes the Sun,”by The Beatles. Adore. And as for their reception? The pair cut into ones of 50/Fifty’s delicious naked cakes with alternating layers of lemon and carrot cake and you betcha, danced the night away with a view of the mountains just in the distance. Best wishes to this Mr. and Mrs.!
