Carolyn & Jake {Sherrill’s Inn}

Rise and shine, all you sleepyheads out there for have we got a wedding just as bright and cheery as we hope this new week is going to be for you. Carolyn and Jake are a couple who, after reading through their story, and poring over their wedding gallery shot by the talented MorningWild Photography, that you just want to be friends with, plain and simple. Their smiles, their radiating joy, their palpable love for one another and those around them—it’s evident that these two are meant for each other. Andddd . . .  do they know how to throw one heck of a wedding/extravaganza/celebration. The duo, who met a freshman event at The University of Chapel Hill back in 2009, planned an elegant, rustic, al fresco affair filled with all things inspiring. We adore their ceremony program idea (printed on brown paper bags, they held confetti to be tossed as the couple recessed), the trampoline at the cocktail hour, the beer quidditch (Harry Potter foreverrr), and our fave part, their popcorn bar complete with all the tasty seasonings. And their colors! The contrast between the forest green, the white, the pops of Carolina blue and the dusty mauve are sheer perfection. “I had a bottle of nail polish in the exact shade of mauve I wanted for my bridesmaids dresses, and I carried that around for six months to make sure everything matched,” say bride Carolyn. Solid advice, for sure. Keep on scrollin’ for all the pretty.
