Alison & Philip {Claxton Farm}

Alison & Philip {Claxton Farm}

Say hello to today’s sweet couple, Alison and Philip. These two Columbia, South Carolina, natives met back in highschool while taking the same Environmental Science class. Although it took eight years for their love story to blossom (they reconnected at a swanky gala they were attending with friends), their connection was instant and undeniable. After a few years of dating and many a trip to North Carolina to enjoy all that mountains had to offer (a couple after our own heart!), Philip knelt down on one knee and popped the question on a camping trip in Hot Springs. This outdoorsy pair’s”where” question of wedding planning was easily solved as they wanted to wed amongst the mountains to reflect who they were as a couple and where they got engaged. And if you didn’t already catch how cool of a twosome they are from the images above and below then get this: The couple hosted a Sunday Brunch wedding (um, sign us up for that) at Claxton Farm. Their 70 guests were greeted by a spread like no other . . . Vortex doughnuts, piping hot coffee, and homemade apple cider. Yum! Following an al fresco ceremony where the couple’s dog, Phoebe, dressed in a floral crown crafted by Stargazers Designs, served as honorary ring bearer, newlyweds and attendees headed inside to a rustic celebration. The couple, after much revelry, exited their wedding to a sea of ribbon streamers—an exit as cute and perfect as these two are for each other. Thank you, Natural Craft Photography, for sharing with us this gorgeous collection of Big Day imagery.
